Who I AM….

My art revolves around my identity, the exploration of who I am and where I come from, and the connection between the past and present. I believe that who I am is directly correlated to my ancestors and that we carry a little bit of each of them with us.

My art offers a unique perspective from the viewpoint of a mother and mixed Western Asian Woman with an inherent emotional turmoil created by the political agenda of today’s society. I hope to inspire change through my work.

Through my work,  I aim to create a visual connection to the lives that came before me and share their identity as mixed Palestinian women. They are human beings whose life had value, my life has value, and I refuse to be erased. My preferred medium is photography, both digital and film, and I tend to write down my thoughts to execute my ideas better.
